News
We now have a freight igloo onboard. This genuine item flew on
the aircraft while it was in service. It has been partially loaded
to give some idea of how things were carried.
It was donated by Air Atlantique Aviation at Bagington Coventry.
We have nearly got a full set of Pilots wings relevant to the
service life of the aircraft. We are still missing the Gold Braid
BA wings and Huntington Cargo wings, cap badge and tunic button.
We have recently washed the aircraft, which has shown up how much it
needs a repaint. We are now trying to accumulate the funds of
£6,000 to
£8,000 needed for the materials.
On the 31st October 2009, in the morning, we ran number 4 engine but
number 3 refused to start. Both engines 3 and 4 ran successfully
in the afternoon after some adjustments to number 3 engine.
There are no plans for anymore engine runs at the moment due to
other movements in the museum.
We have a video of the last taxi, which was carried out on 29th May
2004. We can supply copies for £5.00
(five pounds) each plus P&P.

address on our web site.
